Réda Allali

Author, musician, podcast producer

Trained as an engineer, Réda Allali left the IT world in 2001 to pursue a rich career built around his passions. He is the founder of Hoba Hoba Spirit, a popular group that has been juggling rock and Moroccan music on stages at home and abroad since 2003.

He is also the author of the Zakaria Boualem column in TelQuel magazine, where he casts his lucid, sarcastic eye on Moroccan society, a scrutiny that has persisted on a weekly basis for nearly twenty years. In 2018, he launched the Radio Maarif podcast platform, devoted in large part to discovering Morocco’s history, modern and traditional cultures, all told by specialists he invites to his table. In 2022, he published the book “Zakaria Boualem découvre l’histoire du Maroc“, in which he tells the story of his country in an original tone.

His passion for sport has also driven him to provide commentary about football in various medias.
